Sea Week

For sea week Rooms 3 and 4 learnt about how Maui fished up New Zealand and how the Paua got its beautiful coloured shell (Tangaroa's Gift). We enjoyed creating sea creatures to turn our cloakroom into an underwater haven.

Room 5 and 6 - Maori Place Names

Room 5 and 6 have been learning New Zealand place names during community time.

Tongan Costume

Today Finehika showed us a costume from her country - Tonga. Finehika was able to tell us what it was made of and when it is worn. Thank you for sharing a part of your culture with us Finehika.

Mihimihi

Some Room 4 students presented their mihimihi in junior assembly today. Ka pai tamariki for giving it a go!
